History of Harley Davidson

HARLEY Davidson HISTORY

In 1903 two young men in a wooden shed built the first ever Harley Davidson motorcycle; a racer that went on to do over 100,000 miles and passed through 5 owners!

The next year, in 1904, the first ever Harley Davidson dealership opened up in Chicago, and a new factory followed 2 years later. By 1920, HD was the largest motorbike manufacturer in the world, selling bikes from over 2,000 dealers worldwide.

In the next few decades Harley Davidson went on to win numerous Racing Championships and set many record times. Harley Davidson continued to introduce new models and produce a range of Harley merchandise.

In 2003 Harley Davidson celebrated its 100yr anniversary with an Open Road Tour, which culminated in a street party enjoyed by over 250,000 people.

Harley Davidson continues its tradition of fine motorcycle manufacturing, expanding further internationally and continually improving its products and increasing its range.
